Usage instructions

Zorg dat het carrosseriedeel schoon, droog en vrij van zand of ander los vuil is.
Schakel de meter in en kalibreer hem volgens de meegeleverde instructies voordat je begint met meten.
Plaats de meetsensor recht en vlak op het lakwerk. Druk rustig aan en wacht totdat de meetwaarde op het scherm verschijnt.
Meet ieder carrosseriedeel op meerdere plaatsen, bijvoorbeeld bovenaan, in het midden en onderaan.
Vergelijk de meetwaarden van aangrenzende carrosseriedelen. Grote verschillen kunnen wijzen op eerder spuit- of schadeherstel.
Sleep de meetsensor niet over het lakwerk, maar til de meter na iedere meting volledig op.
Schakel de meter na gebruik uit en bewaar hem schoon en droog in het meegeleverde opbergtasje.

This is how you can safely polish your car

1 Paint thickness gauge Clean the paint

Ensure that the body part is clean, dry, and free of sand and dirt.
2 Calibrate the meter

Switch on the paint thickness gauge and calibrate it according to the supplied instructions.
3 Place the meter perpendicular to the paint

Place the measuring sensor flat on the body panel and wait until the measurement value appears on the screen. Remember, it only works on metal surfaces.
4 Measure multiple points

Check each body panel in multiple places and compare the measured paint thicknesses.
5 Recognize abnormalities

Significant differences between body panels may indicate repainting, filler, or previous damage repair.

From what value is it possible to polish your car?

You can polish the car starting from 80 Ω. Any value below 80 means the paint is too thin and can no longer be polished. The only option then is to have your car repainted.
