Wheel polisher

Damage to your car's rims? To make them look factory new again, we recommend polishing your rims.

Polishing aluminum rims

When your car, motorcycle, caravan, or truck rims are damaged, you'll naturally want to restore them to factory-new condition. You can do this by polishing your aluminum rims yourself with the Stipt Mini Dual Action and/or the Stipt Nano Polisher.

Clean your rims before polishing them

How best to polish your rims depends on the type of damage. If your rim is damaged by a curb, you cannot polish it directly. The damage to the rim will first need to be sanded away. You can easily do this with sandpaper.

Once this is done, it is important that the rims are thoroughly cleaned. Use our rim cleaners for this. Depending on the type of rim, you can use a different product. If your car has alloy wheels, you can clean them with the Stipt Real Effective Cleaner. If your rims are polished, coated, or chrome, you can clean them with the Stipt Iron Remover.

How to best polish your rims?

  1. First, make sure your rims are clean before you start polishing them. Depending on the type of rim, you can clean them with the Stipt Real Effective Cleaner or the Stipt Iron Remover.
  2. Spray the rims and brush or polish them with our brushes & applicators. This can be done with, among others, a Stipt Multi Detail Brush, Stipt Wheel Brush, Stipt Precision Detail Brushes, or Stipt Wash Sponge.
  3. Rinse the rims clean with water. (Note: If the rims are very dirty, you can repeat step 2 multiple times.)
  4. Start polishing your rims with the Stipt Mini Dual Action Polisher and/or the Stipt Nano Polisher.
  5. Depending on the depth of the scratches, you can start with the Stipt Polish Paste Hard in combination with the Stipt Mini Dual Action Soft Pad. Then, apply the Stipt Ceramic Wax to the rims with the Stipt Wax Towel.
  6. Next, polish with the Stipt Polish Paste Medium and the Stipt Mini Dual Action Medium Pad. And then buff the rims again with the Stipt Ceramic Wax and the Stipt Wax Towel.
  7. Finally, you can polish the rims using the Stipt Polish Paste Soft and the Stipt Mini Dual Action Soft Pad. Just like the previous polishing steps, you buff the rims again with the Stipt Ceramic Wax.
  8. Once you are done polishing, you can apply the paint sealant. Do this with the Stipt Ultra Paint Protect. This creates a thin layer on the rims, which you can buff out with the Stipt Multi use Applicator Set.
  9. To provide extra protection for your rims against dirt, we recommend buffing the rims with the Stipt Ceramic Wax and the Stipt Wax Towel.

To reach hard-to-access areas, we recommend using the Extension Bar. This can be used in combination with the Nano Polisher.
