Beste manier om matte lak te wassen

Step-by-step plan for washing a matte car

Do you have a car with a matte finish or a matte wrap? Then of course you want to keep it clean without losing its unique matte appearance.

Washing a matte car requires a different approach than a car with a glossy finish. Incorrect products or techniques can lead to unwanted shine or even damage.

Step 1: Get the car out of the sun

Make sure your car is out of the sun and has completely cooled down before you start washing. This prevents paint damage and ensures cleaning products can work more effectively.

Additionally, you'll work more comfortably and prevent products from drying too quickly on the matte paintwork.

Step 2: Start with the rims

Always start by cleaning the rims, as they contain the most dirt.

Depending on the type of rim, use:

Spray the rims and in the meantime fill the Stipt Grit Bucket 20L with warm water and Stipt Perfect Shampoo.

For large surfaces, use the Stipt Wheel Brush or Stipt Wash Sponge. For hard-to-reach places such as wheel bolts and edges, use the Stipt Exterior Detail Brush or Stipt Wheel Towel.

After cleaning, thoroughly rinse the rims and wheel arches with water.

Step 3: How to wash your car

First, rinse the entire car to remove loose dirt and prevent scratches.

Then always work from top to bottom.

Fill the Stipt Grit Bucket 20L with water and add the Stipt Perfect Shampoo. Dip the Stipt Wash Glove into the bucket and wash the car from back to front and from top to bottom.

Also include:

  • small corners

  • rubber seals

  • the exhaust

thoroughly. For detailed work, use the Stipt Exterior Detail Brush. For the exhaust, use the Stipt Real Effective Cleaner or the Stipt Real Effective PRO in combination with this brush.

Tip: Use a second bucket with clean water to rinse your wash glove in between.

Step 4: Rinse the car thoroughly

After washing, rinse the car completely with a high-pressure cleaner or garden hose.

Work from top to bottom and don't forget the hard-to-reach areas. This prevents dirt or shampoo from being left behind.

Step 5: Dry the car without streaks

Dry the car with a professional drying towel such as:

Again, work in sections and from top to bottom for the best results.

For a faster drying process, you can use the Stipt Ceramic Wax.

Step 6: Protect your matte paintwork

Now that the car is clean and dry, you can protect the paintwork.

For this, use the Stipt Ceramic Coating. Mist it onto the dry paint and buff the product with the Stipt Wax Towel.

This will keep your matte paint cleaner and protected from dirt for longer.

Step 7: Make your windows shine streak-free

As a final step, clean the windows for a complete result.

Use Stipt Clear Glass in combination with the Stipt Glass Towel and enjoy a streak-free final result.
