How to remove a sticker from your car

Sticker verwijderen van je auto doe je zo

When removing stickers from your car, there is a risk of damaging the paintwork. In our step-by-step plan, we show you how to do this safely. We also provide tips for removing glue residue.

Heat the sticker

Using the Stipt Hot Air Gun, you can slowly heat the sticker. Heating softens the glue around the sticker, allowing you to easily remove it.

Start removing carefully

We advise using a plastic scraper to lift the sticker from a corner. Make sure to work slowly to prevent the sticker from tearing.

Removing leftover glue residue from the sticker

After removing the stickers, glue residue will remain on the car. To remove this glue residue, you can use the Stipt 3D Clay Towel Combi.

  1. First, wash the car thoroughly using the Stipt Perfect Shampoo. Note that the car should be out of direct sunlight and cooled down.
  2. Next, you can start claying the car. This will remove most of the glue residue.
  3. Should you still have some residue on the paintwork? You can then remove the remaining glue residue with the Stipt Tar & Glue Remover and a Stipt Dry Towel. Apply a little Stipt Tar & Glue Remover to a clean and dry Stipt Dry Towel. Then apply it to the remaining glue residue.
  4. Then rinse the surface with water.
  5. Afterward, clean the car again using the Stipt Perfect Shampoo. This will remove any remaining product.
  6. Then completely dry the car, preferably with one of our professional drying towels, the Stipt King Dry Towel or the Stipt Dry Towel XXL.
