Are your headlights dull and do you want to make them look factory new again? Then we advise you to polish your headlights using the step-by-step plan below.

Why is it important to polish your headlights?

As a driver, you want to know what's happening on the road or what's coming. Especially at night or in bad weather conditions, you use your headlights. They allow you to see clearly ahead. In addition, factory-new headlights, even during the day, provide better vision and visibility on the road. This way, you spot oncoming traffic faster, even during the day due to reflections in other vehicles, and vice versa. This creates a safer situation on the road and prevents accidents. If your headlights have become dull and/or yellow, it's high time to: polish your headlights.

Why do your headlights become dull?

First, it's good to know why headlights become dull. Your car's headlights can become dull for various reasons. This can be due to exposure to the sun (UV radiation), chemical substances on the road, and damage (for example, from splashing stones while driving).

The outer layer of the headlights is usually made of polycarbonate, which can fade and discolour over time. As a result, the headlights appear dull. This discolouration can also be caused by oxidation, where the outer layer of the headlights is affected by oxygen in the air and weather influences.

When your headlights are dull, this can have consequences for safety. Yours and that of other road users. Due to the limited light, the driver's vision can be reduced, which is why it is important to keep the headlights clean and clear. You can do this by polishing your headlights using the step-by-step plan below:
