Applying paint sealant yourself

Lakverzegeling zelf aanbrengen

When your car is almost factory new again, it is important to seal the paint with Stipt's professional paint sealant. In this step-by-step guide, we will explain how you can apply paint sealant yourself. After cleaning and claying your car, it is necessary to thoroughly dry the car and remove dust before sealing the paint. Preferably do this with one of our drying towels.

Different ways to apply your paint sealant yourself:

At Stipt, we currently offer four ways to seal your car's paint:

Option 1: Stipt Glass Coating

The first option is our Stipt Glass Coating. The Stipt Glass Coating is a long-lasting paint protector with a high gloss level and hydrophobic properties. Step 1. Drip four to five drops of the Stipt Glass Coating onto the microfiber side of the accompanying sponge. Step 2. Then apply it in a crosshatch pattern, per surface area of 40 x 40 cm. Step 3. Then wait two to three minutes and remove the remaining product with the included microfiber cloth or with a Stipt Wax Towel. Repeat the above steps on the rest of your vehicle, but now drip one to two drops per 40 x 40 cm onto the microfiber side of the sponge each time.

Option 2: Stipt Ceramic Coating

The second option for applying paint sealant quickly and efficiently is with our Stipt Ceramic Coating. Step 1: Mist the car surface by surface with the Stipt Ceramic Coating. Then rub the Stipt Ceramic Coating thoroughly with the Stipt Wax Towel. Step 2: Once the car is fully treated with the Stipt Ceramic Coating, it is advisable to polish the car again with the Stipt Wax Towel. You do this so that the coating is well distributed over the paintwork, glasswork, and rubbers.

Option 3: Stipt Wax Shield

The third option for applying paint sealant yourself is with the Stipt Wax Shield. Step 1. Apply thin layers to the entire car, including the paint and windows, using the included applicator pad. Step 2. Once you have applied the Stipt Wax Shield to the entire car, buff the Stipt Wax Shield with the Stipt Wax Towel. Step 3. When you have applied the Stipt Wax Shield to the windows, a greasy film may remain. You can easily remove this by subsequently cleaning the windows with the Stipt Clear Glass in combination with the Stipt Glass Towel.

Option 4: Stipt Ultra Paint Protect and Stipt Ceramic Wax

The last option is sealing with the Stipt Ultra Paint Protect and Stipt Ceramic Wax. The advantage of this is that car claying and polishing are not necessary with this option. Step 1. Apply a thin layer of Stipt Ultra Paint Protect to a dry car and spread it with the Stipt Applicator Set or the Stipt Wash Sponge. Step 2. Allow this layer to dry for five to ten minutes, then mist your car's paint with Stipt Ceramic Wax and buff it with the Stipt Wax Towel.
