How to best clean your car's exterior?

To treat your car's exterior, it's important to know what this entails. By exterior, we mean the outside of the car. To make the outside of your car look factory new again, we have described a few steps for you:

Pre-washing / Pre-wash

Always park your car out of the sun when you are going to wash it. If you have stubborn dirt, we recommend always pre-washing your car with our snow foam. This loosens the dirt, and when you rinse it off afterward, you spray the dirt right off.

Rims, tires, and wheel arches

Spray your rims with our rim cleaner. Brush them thoroughly and then rinse them off. If your car has alloy wheels, you can clean them with the Stipt Real Effective Cleaner. Are they chrome or do you have polished rims? Then clean them only with the Stipt Iron Remover. 

Cleaning the engine compartment

Make sure you park the car in the shade and the engine has cooled down before you clean it with our engine bay cleaner. Disassemble your car's battery and mist the inside of the engine compartment with our Real Effective Cleaner. Brush the parts of the engine compartment thoroughly and then spray them with water. Then dry them with a professional drying cloth.

Washing the car

Did the pre-wash not remove all the dirt? Or did you skip this step? Then first rinse the car to remove loose dirt particles. Then use the car shampoo in combination with a polishing cloth or car wash mitt to clean the car thoroughly. Rinse the car, preferably with a high-pressure washer or garden hose.

Clay barring the car

Are there imperfections on your car? You can perfectly remove them by clay barring your car with the Stipt 3D Clay Combi. We recommend first wetting the clay cloth with water and then adding a splash of Stipt Perfect Shampoo. This ensures that the cloth glides better, preventing black streaks from being left behind, which is very convenient.

Drying

If you own a blower, you can blow-dry the car. Otherwise, use one of our special car drying towels. We have these in sizes up to 160 by 80 centimeters. 

Polishing

Do you have (small) scratches in your car's paintwork? Or do you want your car to shine again? Then start polishing your car. With Stipt's eccentric polishing machine, you can safely polish any car. Are you more experienced? Then we also have a rotary polishing machine in our assortment.

Paint sealant

With paint sealant, you apply an extra coating to your car's paintwork. This provides not only an extra protective layer but also extra shine and is also water-repellent. 

You can then polish the car with Stipt Ceramic Wax and the Stipt Wax Towel for an even better result.

Maintenance

Once you've made your car look factory new again, you naturally want to enjoy it for as long as possible. Protect your car with our car cover and protect your leather with our leather protection.
